Russian National Sub-Committee has resumed its work at XVII International Environmental Forum "Baltic Sea Day" on March 23, 2016. (In Details: http://leontief-centre.ru/news/news.php?news_id=940&lang=l2) 

Taking into account the Forum recommendations 2015, the main organizers decided to hold the first Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme Informational Seminar and the working meeting in order to resume the activity of the Russian National Sub-Committee.

INFORMATION DAY OF INTERREG BALTIC SEA REGION PROGRAMME opened the Second Call for Applications in priorities 1-3 to improve the possibilities for participation of the North-West Region of the Russia Federation in INTERREG Baltic Sea Region Programme 2014-2020.

1st Priority: INNOVATIONS CAPACITY - Innovation Infrastructure Development, Development of Smart Specialisation Strategies
2d Priority: NATURAL RESOURCES EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT - Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Clean Water Systems
3d Priority: SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT - Accessibility of Distant Areas, clean Shipping, Maritime Safety, Environmentally Friendly Urban Mobility

Meeting of the Russian National Sub-Committee was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Russia, Interreg Baltic Sea Region Joint Secretariat, Council of the Baltic Sea States Secretariat, an expert community and head of the relevant committees and the ministries of subjects of the Russian Federation of the North-West Federal District, responsible for crossborder and interregional cooperation.

RNSK members decided to hold an extended session in context of the Forum 2016 and discuss the project applications preparation results of the Second Call of the programme in association with Russian organisations.
